Know them that labour among You
Beloved, as a minister of the Lord Jesus Christ, I can not express enough my purpose with this blog and my audio podcast, "A Few Words of Faith", which is solely to encourage and edify the beautiful saints of God. This is my ministry and I trust it is truly the will of God; for his word tells me; "Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. ~1 Thess 5:11-13. And as I have been called by the Lord to labour among you and be a servant unto you, I too beseech you to know me.... Minister Chris Brewer
Like every man I was born in sin and shapened in iniquity. With no hope and a life pursued by evil, sin and death. A non-commissioned officer in the US military, with knowledge of the world, yet a fool walking in darkness. But when evil consumed me and sought to destroy my career and even my life; this poor man cried...and the Lord heard me, and saved me. It was on one early Saturday morning, March 26th, 1994, after my wife and I were fasting and praying for three entire days in an anointed shut-in service held at our church, The Way of the Cross Church of Christ in Newport News, Va. As we lifted up the name of the Lord with sweet praises and tarried, patiently waiting for the Lord to baptize our souls and fill us with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost; suddenly just like the bible said in the second chapter of Acts; "And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting".... And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. ~Acts 2:4

Just like that which was prophesied by the prophets, the Lord poured his spirit upon both me and my wife, and we were saved on the same day; me first and my beautiful wife shortly afterwards, as the word of God says let all all things be done decently and in order. And indeed we spoke in tongues as the spirit of God gave us utterance. What an amazing birth we both shared and we continue to be two souls twain as one. And for several glorious seasons we laboured with the saints of God, contending for the faith that was delivered unto us. And as each season harbored battles, trials and blessings; it was the will of God that we journey on as we received another military assignment and departed the place where we were spiritually born again. And in the ripe harvests of Nebraska, Texas and currently Nevada we laboured unto the Lord, with patience and diligence, as the Lord called this poor man to preach the Gospel unto all, with no respect of persons. So with earnest expectation and hope in the power of God to all that are lost, I accept God's purpose for my life with gladness; and as Paul so eloquently stated, beloved I say unto you; "Let a man so account of me, as of the minister of Christ, and steward of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful". And faithfully I minister unto every listeners, that you all might be uplifted, encourage, delivered and set free...with a "A Few Words of Faith" .

This World of Yours
The bible says when Jesus was fasting forty days in the wilderness; and and full of the Holy Ghost and led by the Spirit in the wilderness; being tempted of the devil: “And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve". ~Luke 4:5-8
Today the devil’s offer still stands as he tempts man everyday with the cares of this life. And unlike the Lord Jesus Christ, who rebuked Satan, so many have chosen to worship the devil, that they might be given kingdoms and power and riches and all the lustful things of this world.
Beloved the bible says, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever" ~1 John 2:15-17
But to the multitudes of you that are consumed with the cares of this life, with money, which the bible says for the love of it is the root of all evil, consumed with fame, honor, titles, positions and prestige; be not dismayed, this world of yours that is filled with evil and wickedness; and all that is not of the chosen people of God, will be destroyed; perished in their own condemnation.
And as many today, have deceived themselves to think that God’s judgement upon this wicked world is measured with degrees of sin; in other words whoremongers, fornicators, and haters, are not worthy of the same judgement of murders and those giving into witchcraft or other acts of uncleaness and immorality. You believe though you are not perfect, you are not nearly as unrighteous as others, and therefore God judgement will be one of mercy.
Be not deceived, there is no degree of sin, and the bible declares that all unrighteousness is sin; This world of yours shall pass away and this ungodly and perverse generation within it.
And the word of God testifies, "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil". ~John 3:19
But beloved as Peter said to the church, "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light" ~1 Peter 2:9 We are his generation and this world is not ours. We are foreigners in this strange land, who labor in the Lord to enter into his rest; we occupy here until he comes back for us and the bible says, "And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness" ~1 John 5:19
We have no pleasure in this world; this world of yours and refuse to reap the lustful thing in this world; Just like Moses, "By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season". ~Heb 11:24-25 And indeed it is written that this life is only for a season; then This World of Yours will be no more.

No Spots Allowed
Jesus said "Come now, and let us reason together...though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool ~Isaiah 1:18. It is a glorious invitation that the Lord has given us all, even though we are unworthy of his everlasting love and wonderful grace; his righteous hand that he promise will never forsake us, but will be with us until the end of the world. He said "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" ~ Matt 11:28.
Most often an invitation is presented with details of the event, usually the time, location, perhaps what you should bring, should you choose to attend and what the attire will be; in other words, how you should appear at the event.
Well it is also true with the invitation that God has given unto us, for even in the days of old, God invited his people to come to the altar to present him a burnt offering ….and these offerings were to be two lambs one year without spot or blemish, day by day. One in the morning and one in the evening; And he commanded only those lambs upon which never came yoke. God commanded it then and even now that his sacrifices unto him be pure, holy, whiter than snow…and with no spots. Timothy admonished the church, "That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ" ~1Tim 6:14-15
And the Lord not only commands this of us, but he first gave himself as an example for us, as he was the Lamb slain for the sins of this world. And the Bible says he gave himself for the church, "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word; That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish" ~ Eph 5:25-27
Beloved the spots that stain your life are the sinful and corruptible things of this world. Even the manifestation of the flesh, which the bible declares are such things like adultery, fornication, uncleanness, hatred, strife, murders, drunkenness and any other works of disobedience, which the word of God says they that do these things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. Because there are No spots are allowed.
The Lord told the prophet, "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it" ~ Hab 2:2 . So if I may, let me make this plain to you. Beloved vision this; the Lord invited us to come to live with him for eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven. To be his glorious bride. And for you to enter into his gates and attend the wedding, we must be clothed in a white garment that the Lord will give you, that garment being of salvation; holiness and righteousness, but it must be without spot, wrinkle or blemish. Now if you are wise your soul should rejoice that you have been chosen to be the Savior’s bride. So has you are clothed in white raiment and waiting for the Lord to come back for his bride; for you know not the hour when he shall appear; you desire and purpose while here in this world, waiting for the bridegroom, is to keep yourself whiter than snow. Therefore we must walk in a way not to get your white raiment filthy, spotted or wrinkled. Your walk must be as James described pure religion and undefiled before God is to keep yourself unspotted from the world. No spots allowed. So we must be careful to stay whiter than snow.
In the book Revelation God told John to "Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; and to send the word to the seven churches" God reproved the church of Sardis, and these words may also be fruitful for you beloved:
He said to the church of Sardis, "Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels" ~ Rev 3:4-6
So for you who have not yet chose the Lord to be your bridegroom; I petition you right now, to receive him today; and be clothed in that fine white raiment, that you might dwell with Lord Jesus Christ for eternity. And to the beloved saints, I encourage you as the Apostle Peter, " Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless ~ 2 Peter 3:14.

The Savior is not Mocked
When I think of the ways of man, how he glorifies God creations, rather than God himself. Man would rather emulate, imitate; dream, hope and trade it all to be like their favorite entertainer, celebrity, athlete, and whomever the Lord has created as themselves; that the Lord has power over, to give life and take it away. Yet man refuse to be like Jesus Christ, whose hand has all power, above every dominion, and every throne. Who is eternal and everlasting until the end of the world. Whose name is above every name and his spirit has conquered death. Who is it that is greater, that anyone would rather be like, rather than him. For the bible says: For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. ~Psalms 89:6-7 Yet man has no reverence unto God, and the word of God says; And worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever ~Romans 1:25
Yet still man lust after the things of this world more than the world to come. He devices ways to please himself and his sinful flesh, rather than seek to serve his Master and glorify him in works and deeds. I think of how this sore displeases God, who gave his life for us, while we were yet sinners, that we might have life more abundantly and inherit his kingdom; yet man would rather gain this world; and for what reason, when it shall all pass away. And the bible says what profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul. And what shall a man give in exchange for his soul. This world?
Yet so many of those same people who choose not to serve the Lord, are quick to call on the name of the Lord, when faced with great despair and trouble in their life. When life threatening sickness, or the weight of this world becomes to hard to bear. And God being a God of Mercy, comes to their refuge and deliver them out of their afflictions, in spite of their sinful ways. And beloved I know that sometimes it seems that these ungodly and unthankful souls are mocking your father, the Lord Jesus Christ. These people you see everyday, a neighbor, even a friend, maybe a family member, who the bible says; These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear. ~Jude 1:12 Them who don’t fear the Lord, and though they may acknowledge him in times of trouble, they serve him not. But I say unto you as Peter, when he said that the apostles told you that there should be mockers in the last day, who should walk after their own lusts. But beloved you should also know that the bible proclaim; Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you. ~2 Peter 2:13-14
Be not deceived, God is not mocked. No, the Savior is not mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh, and the lustful things in this world, shall reap corruption. And beloved we must continue to contend for the faith that was delivered unto us, and not be tempted or consumed with those that deny the only true and wise Savior. Because he is not mocked. Be encouraged by his word that says; For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. ~1 Peter 3:12
And to you that are lost, whom the devil has deceived to believe that this life and this world is greater than the Lord Jesus Christ. And has persuaded you to exchange your soul for things that will perish and be burned, just as you. For as Paul says; Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened ~Romans 1:21 Know that the Savior is not mocked; the wages for your sins is death. And he has preserved you unto the day of judgement. Unless you come to him...because He loves you and wants you to be separated from this world, believe on him and come; while there is still time. For the bible says the Lord having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. The Savior not mocked. Be not deceived.

You will receive a Just reward
Many of us look forward to receiving some type of compensation, recognition and or reward for what we have done or have accomplished in this life. And it seems to be a fair act and even just to those that are pleased with what they receive, whether they truly deserve to be rewarded or not. You won’t hear a well paid person complain about making too much money or that they’re not worthy of what they are rewarded, whether they’re worth it or not; This is this unjust world. But I believe the word of God to be true, and it is written "Yea Let God be true, but every man a liar", and I believe, if I am faithful to God unto death, then I shall receive a crown of life; as the word of God encourages me "Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life" ~ Rev 2:10; . God assures me that he knows the struggles and hardships we will have to endure in this life and he promises we will rewarded for our works. The Psalmists says in Psalm 58:11 11So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth. And what is so good to know is that God is Just, and he will reward you justly. You see so many times we see people in this world with excessive gain, riches and prosperity, who labor in unrighteousness and ungodliness, and there professions and occupation, does everything but glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. And often times, many people are discouraged, as some people are rewarded with so much more than others, that are more deserving, but are rewarded with so little. They feel it is unjust that professionals like teachers, policeman, fireman, servicemen and health care professionals to name a few, are not rewarded as other professionals that simply entertain the masses, instead of taking care of and protecting the world. Even the people of God, who serve the righteous and Just One, Jesus Christ can be discouraged by the ungodly who prosper in the world, increasing in riches, glory, honor, and power; as we labor, toil each day in the work of the Lord; and if they are not careful, can be overtaken by envy; David was faced with this temptation, as he wrote in "But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked" ~Psalms 73:2-3. And he goes on to say: "Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end" ~Psalms 73:17. David understood the ungodly shall not escape the day of judgement and its reward. Peter proclaimed that they shall utterly perish in their own corruption. After enjoying the pleasjures of this sinful life, the bible says they will awaken to judgement day as a dream; "As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image" ~Psalms 73:20.
But as for righteous, beautiful and beloved children of God, so great is your reward. Eternal Glory in the Kingdom of Heaven. The bible declares "The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward" ~Prov 11:18.
So let us not be weary in our well doing for in due season you shall reap a just reward, if you faint not. And though we suffer long the sin and corruption of this world; and endure the troubles of this life; I'm remoinde of the words of the Apostle Paul "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us" ~Romans 8:18. So meditate on this beloved as it is the promise of God. And remember it is written, "Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward" ~2 John 1:18.

All for Himself
But beloved the truth is: God created you All For Himself. The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. That would be you and I, we are his creation for himself; but even so the bible tells us in ~Isaiah 43:7, “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
So you the Lord made you for himself and created you to glorify him in all that you do. He created you to praise him to worship him to serve him, to please him. And his pleasure is to have us all for himself to love for eternity, to shower us with his wonderful grace that we may enter into his rest, to be with him in the Kingdom of Heaven. He said in John: If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
And even if you choose not to serve him, but deny his love, and refuse to come unto him. He still loves you and is patiently waiting for you to come. But know this; if you choose to serve another master, the devil, then your life will end with eternal damnation. For Proverbs proclaim: “The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil” ~Proverbs 16:4

One Thing I Desire
As I think of all the things I desire, more than anything in life; it's to live forever with the Lord Jesus Christ. You see that's truly where my affections are. Above...in Heaven. No, I don't want to be rich more than anything in this world, because just like this dust of a frame that am, that will dissolve and fade away to be no more, so will all the fortune, fame and wordly things that I would hope to obtain. Oh what a joy it would be... to be with Jesus for Eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven.
So I live today in this sinful, perverse and wicked world, with Joy...Unspeakable joy, knowing that if I just hold on to my faith, that he'll soon be back for me, as he promised. If I be obedient to his word and keep myself unspotted from this world, one day he'll crack the sky and come for me, his beloved bride. I dare say if you don't have the same desire, then surely you don't know how good and sweet the Lord is. Surely you don't know him, and why he died for you. You don't know the power of his resurrection. If this is you, who don't share my desire, please join us here at this spiritual blog and allow us to minister unto you, that you may Taste and see, that the Lord is Good.

Jesus said he that hear his words and do them is like a wise man who built his house upon on a Rock, which is Jesus. And when life struggles (rain and winds) beat upon his house, it fell not.
But he that heard not God's word and do it not,is a foolish man who built his house upon the sand, the wordly things like money, pride and power. And when it was all dissolved (flood), it fell. And the fall was great.
Ask yourself upon what foundation is your house built. Your house is built on one or the other; build it on Christ and you will never fall. Choose not, believe or not, Oh foolish man....you will surely fall.
